99 yz400f issues

My buddy's got a '99 yz400f that wont stop dripping gas. the float bowl was stuck and we took the bottom of the bowl off and unstuck it, re-assembled and now it just pours out of the overflow. any ideas of whats wrong?

I assume you mean the float was stuck. Either way, you still have a problem with the float and needle assembly.

For service manuals, I prefer the European link over the Australian one, because the manuals you can download there are printable for the most part, whereas the others aren't.

yes I did mean the float. sorry. I know enough to rebuild and rejet and clean them but as far as tuning I have no clue.

Sounds like you need to replace the float needle. It has a rubber tip on it, sometimes that will deteriorate over time, depending on what type of gas you use. I used to race a lot in Mexico, there gas ruins that little rubber tip.

your floats can be out of adjustment.
