I'll go if the weather, my job, and my knees allow, Shawn.

See you there Shawn, Matt, Max, Charlie, Steve, J-Rod, JB...!!!

If my schedule is open for these days, I'll most likely be working the event instead of riding.

Will they still race if there's 6 inches of snow on top of the sand????

I have to get busy fitting that turbo and stealth paddle tire to my bike...maybe they'll miss it at the starting line.

I am the hugest of sissies when it comes to Grantsburg. I went there once when I was a much suckier rider (yes, that really is possible). It was such soft deep sand that I had a really hard time, and really no fun. I ended up crashing after a little jump, and when I got up, my bike was in the process of getting landed on. It ripped the oil line off the side of the motor. Day done. Stevie scowling. No fault of the track, all me; just not talented in sand.

So if you're good in sand, you'll have fun. If it's wet, I bet it's really cool.

I look forward to hearing ride reports!

I'll be there.

Hopefully the MH3's I just bought aren't too bad in sand. I need to make sure and weld my motor mount back on that I snapped off last fall too.

I worked for Central Cycle Club in Central Village, Connecticut:

http://www.cccmx.com/

when I lived there from 1994-1997.

We were allowed to ride, even if it was a work day for us. We could stop flagging, etc to ride for our practice and moto's.

Hopefully it will be the same for you Shawn.

On the other hand, I could ride 7 days / week there, unless there was a race weekend coming up.

It's only one weekend early on in the season, so I'm not too worried.

NOW is the time to mix it up on the track >> everyone is suffering from lack of track time >> it is tough to make up when / if you miss the first several races...

If there is any snow left on the track it will be plowed off the week before.

We have done this in the past and it has worked out well. Wet sand is better than sloppy mud in the spring!
