Meat thermometer

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever stuck a meat thermometer in the crankcase oil fill site? I went for about a 10 minute ride the other day then put a thermometer in the oil after it had been shut off for about 5 minutes. The temp was 145F. I didn't think that was too bad. The outside temp was 45F. Just curious if anyone has any readings to compare.

I actually checked my oil with a meat thermometer and mine read 98.6 degrees. That's normal I think...:worthy:

Well, yes...98.6 is a normal temperature. Checking with a meat thermometer...no comment.
