I have seen where the "Operator's Manual Canister" sold by ASC is recommended for use for storage on a motorcycle. The canister is made to store an operators' manual on a garden tractor. I thought I would try it. Here is how it looks on the bike. Here are the parts. Hardware Needed: two 77/95mm hose clamps two hex bolts 6mm x 20mm 3 6mm nyloc nuts one hex bolt 6mm x 15mm 2 flat washers 5 5/8" length of 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1/8" aluminum angle 2 1/2" length of 5/8" aluminum flat stock The operator's manual canister item # is 67670 from ASC. Their URL is www.agri-supply.com The canister was $4.99 plus shipping when I bought it. The canister is about 12" long and about 3 1/2" in diameter. There were mounting brackets on the canister. I cut them off and used the hose clamps to mount it. There is a drain hole in the canister. I plugged it with a screw. Shipping was $9.98. You might want to go in with some one else and buy two of them to cut down on the shipping. I just drilled the large holes in the aluminum angle for grins. You might want to do a better job of lay out than I did. Good luck getting the yellow lettering off the canister. It was a PITA. I have no idea how well it will hold up. It has been too cold to ride since I mounted it.
