Front brake wont build up pressure?

The master cylinder ran dry when the brake line snapped. I got a new line filled it up bled the crap out of it no leaks anywhere and fluid is coming out out of the bleed nipple. It has slight pressure but it pulls back to the bar still. Just wondering what you guys think the problem could be.

Still air in the system.

Sounds like there is still some air in it to me.

could the fact that the master cylinder and the brake caliper went dry have anything to do with it?

dry = no liquid = air in the system.. bleed it.

Reverse-bleeding is much more effective at removing the air from the front brake.
