Xr 250/dr-z 250/kdx200

Hey guys I am wondering if you have ridden any of these 3 bikes how they compare to the DR-Z 250. I haven't seen many of these bikes but it seems they are in the same class. I know the KDX would be more powerful seeing as it is a 2 stroke.

I am just curious to see how these bikes compare as my 16 year old brother is looking for a new bike for mostly trail riding and just some fooling around in quarry's and stuff.

Of the three bikes, the DRZ250 is the heaviest ( I own one and it still feels somewhat lighter than the XR400 I sold). It does have the E start which is nice. If the XR250 is like the 400, it is a finicky starter. All three bikes have decent suspension but the KDX200 is the lightest of the three. You can't go wrong with any one of them. All three also respond to simple mods.

Never owned a DRZ250 but the XR's and KDX's are pretty much bulletproof. The XR more so.
