Bike setup prob?

Recommended Posts

Allright.. I have been riding motocross for about 3 years now. Started on 02 kx250. Bought a 250f about 5 months ago. Got the suspension done by tbt for my weight. The prob is, every time i ride the 250f on track the next day my back and neck are really soar. Im six foot. i dont feel crouched on the bike but im thinking some taller bars?

Did your back and neck hurt after riding the KX250? Cause the 250f probably has the same handle bar height, and I'm thinking it might even be a little taller than the KX250.

EDIT: The 250f's overall height is 2.4 inches higher than the KX250. The 250f's seat height is 0.2 inches higher than the KX250. The only thing that the KX250 has on the 250f is 1.8 incheas of ground clearance. Maybe it is just your suspension that isn't set up right and it is jarring your back and neck when you land or in the whoops.

Maybe you got a new (heavier) helmet when you bought a new bike...

I would say that it is the suspension that needs some work.

Disassemble and grease all swingarm and linkage bearings, replace the ones that are rusted out beyond repair.

Service the shock if not done recently (last 20 hours).

Set the sag to 100 mm, and the clickers to stock settings.

Now the bike will have much better suspension than your old KX 250.
