Zongshen Clutch Rebuild??? Anyone??

A friend of mine has a 200cc Zongshen Dual sport, and im pretty sure the clutch went or something is just out of place. But i was wanting to know if you have to split the case to get to the clutch plates. The clutch lever on engine block goes into center of engine. I have not taken off the right side cover of bike but i think that would just be the gears. ANy help would be appreciated.

why not take the cover off and have a look, can't see that you'd have to split the crankcase to get to the clutch but you just can't tell with some of these chinese bikes

Yeah. The design really pisses me off. To take air box cover off you have to completely drop the air box. Which the bolts are almost tight to the frame .?.
