Which bumper seat to buy?

Recommended Posts

I would like to receive a little help getting forward on my CRF450R 09 in the turns... Which bumper seat would you recommend? I really don't like the "cutting in the original seat-thing" and my bike needs to look trick :p :-)

Thomas, The factory effex TC-4 bump seat cover is what I use and works very well. You use your original seat just remove cover and install bump foam insert and new cover which has contoured grip bumps built into cover.

Does anyone other than SDG sell a hump seat that is already made? I know Guts Racing sells a foam hump you glue down to the OEM foam.

I think SDG is the only ready made step seat. The new Acerbis X seat looks interesting (no hump), but they are nuts trying to get $250 for it.

actually. i never really liked the step seats that everyone has. so what i do is get an old bar pad cut it in half, place it in the spot you want. put some type of glue on it. then shape it to the way you need it. easy to do and extremely cheap.

Will any of these be too far forward for some that is 6'3?

At 6'3" I'd add a hump to a tall seat. A hump on a standard seat will make you feel really cramped.

I'm sure there was a better way to say that.:p
