Cracked my tranny cover

well just got back from riding yesterday and while washing my bike i noticed i had cracked the cover on my tranny side...dont know if i wanna replace it with a stock one cuz i broke one already...any suggestions or experience with aftermarket ones guys?? or should i just replace with stock...thanks in advance

Rekluse makes a great billet cover for the money.

I just got one of these, patched up the hole with jb weld and covered it with this.

Rekluse makes a great billet cover for the money.

The stock covers are pretty soft magnesium. Boyesen makes a cast aluminum one for about $85. Hinson billet cover is pricey,but very durable . Any billet cover is gonna be your best bet for duribility.

The bolt holes are prone to cracking with any over tightening on the Boyesen. The Rekluse is your best option. I really like Hinson, PC, and 7602 covers but they are pricey and might not be available for the 450X.

That would also be good at keeping the finish on the Mag cover from wearing. Plus it is only 20 bucks.

I just replaced mine too.I bought a billet one from 4Strokes Unlimited/XR's Only. It was only $89.They come in anodized grey or red.I chose the grey.It fit perfectly and allegedly holds slightly more fluid so far I am very happy with it.
