Air jet

Recommended Posts

I was replacing the air jet on the front of the carb. with a zip-ty jet to make easier adjustments along with a top end rebuild. When I pulled the stock air jet only the spring and washer came out. Is this typical, or did I loose or drop something? I would hate to put this thing back together only to find the o-ring is not in the carb. It's very difficult to work and see anything on the carb.

Thanks

for your help

The tiny o-ring usually stays stuck up in the hole.

If the carb is still on the bike you can use a mirror and flashlight to look in there.

I made a little hook out of a big sewing needle to snag o-ring out of mine. All while standing on my head with a mirror and flashlight.
