04 250f overheating

not a clue why really lol but as soon as i start the bike the exhaust is unbearable to touch around the header pipe and it doesn't take long for the head etc to get the same way. im new to four strokes soany advice would be great or if this is normal just tell me to shut the ***k up and i gladly will :p

All that you describe is perfectly normal.

All fourstrokes get superhot exhausts in seconds.

In the dark they glow red hot.

These bikes are not made to be sitting still idling, btw. Be sure to get airflow through radiators by moving, or shut the bike off.

those 04-05's especially seem to run a bit hot, I installed a inline billet coolant hose cooler and also used red line water wetter in the coolant, never had a problem over heating since. If you have deep pockets you could buy a set of fluidyne radiators!:p

deep pockets? the damn bike has cost me £1000 on a rebuild already and ive not rid the thing yet lol
