2002 TTR125L Hard to start

Recommended Posts

I bought a 2002 ttr125L , and have noticed it is hard to start. It takes about 10 kicks to start when its cold. Are all ttr's like this, or is something wrong with my bike? Valves need adjusting?

Dirty carb, improper jetting and/or fuel screw adjustment. Look in the stickies at the top of the forum for info on how to fix it. :p

Most likely culprit is a clogged pilot jet. Take the carb apart and clean out the pilot jet.

welcome to the world of ttr carbs :)

:banghead:

Once you get it right it's just set it and forget it. I clean it once every few years but that's it.

it isn't just ttr carbs, it's any micuni, wheather it's an arctic cat or a yz, or a ttr, it's a simple device, and there isn't that much that can go wrong but you do have to keep em clean
