Going to Barstow area

? Heading to Arizona in April and thought we would take the bikes. Barstow looks like the only place on the way. Any suggestions? We have a toy hauler, 3 bikes and a quad. any info would be great. Thanks

Stoddard Wells OHV is just North of Barstow. I-15, exit at Outlet Center off-ramp, go East 1/2 mile & turn tight into the entrance.

Make sure you have lunch @ Slash X (North & East from the exit, off HWY 247)

Try Rainbow basin. Copper City rd. Good riding there.

Stoddard is actually South of Barstow, along with Slash X. I don't know what your route to Pheonix is, but Johnson Valley is in the general area of Barstow also. Since your coming South, like Ossi posted, Spangler is a must stop also, if your coming down the 395.

Bakersfield suburbia.

At this point Jawbone is 15 minutes away and so worth it.

Spangler is another 20 minutes or so and so worth it.

I am not the Stoddard fan at all.

Ditto, but Slash X is in it, and anywhere you can ride and get food and drink, should be checked out.? The surrounding areas with Ord and JV, are pretty good with a variety of stuff too.

Just real dull.

Every place has

that brass ring.

Not here.

Flat with rocks and no real decent trails.

Just a bunch of straight lines all over the place.

What hills where to be found was decomposed

granite and shall type stuff. I have ridden lots

of different stuff from Nor Cal to So Cal. I must

say it is not near but is the bottom of my list.

I would go a few miles north of Barstow. Coppercity rd and Calico, between the two there is some awesome stuff.
