2004 crf450 will not kick over

I have a 2004 crf450 that I can't get started. I had the valves adjusted last year and I was told they were getting close to needing to be replaced. I replaced the spark plug, checked the fuel. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions? Thanks

Pull your plug and hold it against the frame and have someone kick it and see if you get spark... If you do then atleast you know it shouldnt be electrical. Since you are gonna have the tank off anyways you might as well pull the head and check your valves...

there are a number of things you are gonna have to rule out...Do you have your manual?
