01 YZ250F Stock Flywheel Weight?

Ive been looking around to add a FWW to my YZ...and I found one...but the guy selling it doesnt know how much weight was added to the stock flywheel.

Total weight is 20oz, which includes the FWW and the stock flywheel. Anyone know what the stock weight is?

The total weight of the flywheel means absolutely nothing. It's where the weight is. The further the weight is from the center of the crank, the greater the flywheel effect will be. But just to answer the question, a stock flywheel is 16.5 ounces.

I was pretty sure that was the case - the positioning of the weights makes al the difference - but thanks for the additional clarification!

If the stock weight is 16.5oz - that means this guy has a about a 3.5oz (+/-)FWW. In all my poking around, I havent seen anything less than a 6. Im wondering if he's not selling something else.

I would just keep your eye out on e-bay for a GYTR flywheel for the 250F, that's what I have, I got it brand new for $40.
