yz125 loud FMF Turbine Core 2 or Q

Hello, I have an 02 yz125 with a turbine core 2 and FMF fatty pipe.

I would like to make this bike quieter but I am thinking that my silencer is not the problem. It almost sounds like the engine is just a loud engine therefore there is not much I can do.... The silencer has new packing.

Would changing out the silencer to the FMF Q (or another) help any?

I do need a sparky.

Should work great for your needs. However, I did ride one with a FMF the Q muffler and it seemed quiet to me but the db snorkle no doubt has to be the quietest.

does the pipe have anything to do with the loudness? Would switching back to the stock pipe help lower the sound?

Also, When I listen to the bike, it almost seems like the engine itself is louder than the silencer. Could this be?

The TC2 should be quieter than OEM. Try it just to see. When the TC2 quiets down the exhaust note the engine noises become more noticeable. However, the engine and air box noise typically aren't heard from a great distance whereas the exhaust note is.
