CRF 250F 2005 getting too hot

Recommended Posts

I have a crf 250 f 2005 and the problem is when I start the bike after 1 minute start getting too hot, the pipe turns red because is too hot. Maybe someone knows what is wrong with my bike?

you have to ride it to get airflow over the pipe and rads. If you are sitting it will get hot. Even if riding at nite it may glow red in the dark. If the bike is too lean it will also run hot and get hot faster. BUT you cant judge by sitting and letting it run if that is what you are doing.

Sounds lean to me but you might have better luck in the CRF250 forum instead of the 2-stroke KTM forum Just a hunch

sounds like its lean, if its idling during that one minute, turn out your fuel screw.

try running 60:1

You came to the right forum, sell the big red and get a Katoom.

Kidding, you are lean. This is typical with off road thumpers. Do a complete re jet inluding LJ. It will run a lot better
