92 yz250 surging?

Can someone give me a list in order of easist fix to worst case? I have had this bike for a while and once in a while Ill go to the garagge start it ride it for 10 minutes and it will start surging, it might have over heated once or twice when it used to run fine.

anyhelp out there?

It only does this after it get warm? any ideas that dont lead to bottom end?

Get it running until it starts acting up, then spray around the motor with something like starting fluid or WD-40 and see if the rpms increase, pull the flywheel cover off and spray around your flywheel and listen also, if you find a spot where the rpms jmp when you spray you have a airleak

You don't have it set to idle excessivly high, they'll sometimes act funny when the idle is turned up to far

I normally set mine up to idle for about 15 seconds before it dies, but its your choice, turn it all the way down and see if the surgeing stops, then set it to your preference
