Suspention improving over years?

Recommended Posts

Hi all!

I had a 2000 S model and rode it for 4 years, in that time i remember the suspention was too soft and poorly damped in both compression and rebound. I went to touring bike and sport bike and now i am looking for returning to the source of my pleasure on a bike: dual sport, forest fire roads and very light motocross track. I know Suzuki changed the suspention on the S in 2003 and i wonder if it is the same as the E and i also want to know if it's better than the 2000-2002.

Thanx in advance!

The suspension has been upgraded. It now has more adjustment for rebound and compression. That being said it is sprung for Joe Average. Not sure who this Joe Average is but it's his weight they went by. To get the most out of it you will want to respring it for your weight.

Either Joe Average weighs 150 pounds or the Japanese engineers drank way too much sake when designing the suspension.
