Help in KXF 2006 hotcam and timing

Recommended Posts

Hi there.

My KX250F 2006 took a new piston (wiseco) and valves (OEM) in local dealer.

From that time what is a lot of dificel to put the bike working (KickStart very hard) and does a lot of backfire.

I took the cam cover out and put the crankshaft in TDC (second line) and i saw that hotcam's aren't like the photo...

So, my bike is out of timing????

Thanks

João Pedro

Yes your bike is out of timing. You might be 180 degrees out. Take it apart and check it.

:) ya to adjust timming you need to loosen your cam chain tensioner then you have enough slack to turn cams to where thay need to be. ex cam at 9 o clock 12 o clock and intake at 3 o clock 12 o clock with engine at tdc. their should be 28 chain pins from 9 o clock on ex to 3 o clock intake.:banghead:
