FCR 39 MX Needles

Recommended Posts

I received my FCR 39 MX a little while back and I just verified the settings as per the FAQ section FCR 39 MX install by Bronco78. I live at sea level and have a 2002 DRZ 400S with the 3X3 mod and a Yosh RS-2 open pipe. The settings are as follows: 160 main jet, 200 main air jet, EMP Needle set at the 3rd clip position from the flat end, 45 pilot jet ( pilot air jet removed ) and 2 turns out on the Merge Racing fuel screw. My question is since an EMN needle is called for and my FCR has a EMP needle what will be the result? If I understand correctly, the EMP that is in the carb at this time is slightly leaner in the 1/8 to 1/4 throttle range.:)

the setting in the FAQ is a "safe" set up thats covers a carb kit sold to many different users in many different climates.

when you buy from me as you did you get a carb set up specifically for you.

emP is slightly leaner than emN at small throttle openings,
