Pipe on 2000 YZ125

Recommended Posts

How much of a difference would an aftermarket pipe and silencer make on this bike. I hear that the stock pipe is pretty good on the newer machines.

Thanks,

I have an 01 which is virtually the same, and have a Bill's pipe and Turbinecore 2 spark arrestor on it...I find it add's a bit to the bottom and mid, and retains the top end. Works good for the woods riding I do.

a Bill's pipe

What's a Bill's pipe? I've searched through dozens and dozens of thread over the past few weeks and have never heard that.

I have a 2000 Yz125 (139cc big bore kit), with a FMF SST, a FATTY+ the stock pipe and a shorty silencer. with the stock pipe, I feel my bike has more low end power, the Fatty more midrange and the sst pulls more from idle all the way to the top.

depending on your skill level and type of riding, it could make a noticeable difference
