Dyno Jet Kit (before I Burn Money)

Recommended Posts

I have a klx250s 2007 with all the free mods complete, and big gun evo x full exhaust system. What kit do i get from the DYNOJET company, it seems they dont make one for the 2007. I see they got one for the 2009's and everyone else is telling me pick one up for the klx300. Can someone shoot me straight here and also what stage kit should i pick up for optimal performance? Appreciate the words.

I have an '07 KLX250S. Don't waste your money on the DynoJet kit. If you want to though, the kit for the '07 KLX300 works since it's the same carb. I used Kawa OEM parts, installed KDX snorkel, and had money left over for a TwinAir filter. If you're using the stock muffler, drill out the end snout with a 1/2" drill bit. You can get a DJ kit for 50 - 60 bucks, which includes a tapered needle and a variety of jets, plus the drill for the throttle slide and instructions for jetting. Don't think that's a lot of money for a major boost in performance over stock, but it's your call.

The DJ kit, IMHO, is well worth the money to improve throttle response off the bottom.IF you plan on sticking with the stock carb.It should work very well with the Big Gun exhaust system. It really does eliminate some of the bog off the bottom that the CVK carb has.May take some fiddling with to find the right combo but you will notice a difference in the end.I know I did.
