Race Sag

Recommended Posts

I ride a 08' 450f, mx 100% of the time and my weight is 195 w/o gear. I checked my Race Sag last night and it measured 109MM to much to little? Some articles suggest 100mm, 98-100mm. Does 9mm make that much difference??

Thanks in advance!

I noticed it on my rmz and had to go up a notch on my springs. The biggest thing I noticed was better traction and better lift on jumps after getting stiff springs and the correct sag. You maybe be border line for weight. Someone will give you the exact # but I think over 105 and you are not getting full use of your suspension.

Simple answer is yes - 9mm makes a significant difference. You need to try different settings to see what works best, however, in general, you should be able to get an idea of what a good sag reading is based on other reports.

You should be going with the recommendations only. If you get the suspension revalved then they will probably deviate from the stock rec. because of their valving and whatnot.
