Replacing Conrod.

Recommended Posts

I was riding the other day when my bike just stopped.

After further investigation it seems that an inlet valve has broken which has destroyed my new piston and cracked my conrod.

I am half way through splitting may case so I can fix the conrod.

I have a replacement rod already but how hard is it to replace in my OEM crankshaft or should I have bought a whole new crankshaft?

My crankshaft looks to be in excellent cond.

Just buy the complete crankshaft assy . Its only a couple of hundered dollars or so. Just drop it right in and put your case back together. I'd put in new crank bearings while your in there. I just did the same job...I think it was 295.00 Canadian. Us will be more like 200.00 I think.
