fork oil

hey does anyone kno the amount of fork oil that should be put in a 2009 kx250f? for the inner and outer chambers?

Yes, I know.

The inner chambers does not have an oil amount as the outer chambers.

It is just supposed to be full and completely bled out.

The inner chamber takes about 200-250 ml.

Just fill them over the edge where the piston goes in, so no air gets trapped.

The excess is just poured out of the holes under the fork caps when it´s assembled.

Then when the fork is completely put together and the outer chambers are to be filled, the stock amount is 370 ml.

This way a 1 liter (1 US. quart) bottle is not enough.

MXA says to put in 306 ml.

But that is just tuning and is up to you.

I have 310 ml in mine.

all done put in 360 with softer springs c how it goes on the weekend

how much do you weight to put softer springs in, i'm 160 and might try 1kg softer to get the front to settle and stay in ruts better.

How often should the fork oil be changed? I have a 2009 but have not even considered looking/changing the fork oil yet.............

Directly after break-in, then I would say about 15 hours for the regular guy...
