Long Rear shocks, XR75/Xl100

Recommended Posts

I put a xl100 rear swingarm on my xr75, along with a 1985 CR80 frontend. I dont want a chopper, so I measured it and for it to sit level I need a 14.5-15" long pair of shocks. I also don't have $500 to spend on Works performance shocks right now, so any Ideas?

My experience with used shocks are not very good. Hagon has new dirt bike gas shocks that are very reasonably priced. They are made in England and I have a pair (different style and length) on my modified Z50R. The CR125 dual shocks from Hagon are 14.6" long and cost roughly $220. The US distributor is Dave Quinn Motorcycles. Good Luck.

Progresive shocks for an RM 100 are 14.25". I got mine from Bikebandit I know they were much cheaper than the Works shocks.

Does the xl100 swingarm bolt right up to the 75 frame? I have A 77/75 and am looking to trick it out a bit. It seems that better and longer rear shocks and a longer swingarm are the first place to start.
