Will this carb work for a DRZ400S????

Just wanted to know if any one had try to use one of these carbs on a DRZ. It's a 39 mm Keihin flat slide Carb but its a bit different from the FRC MX carbs I've seen. It's for a 98 Polaris XC 700. I can tell the throttle cable would be something to work out but other then that I dont think it would be that hard. Hears some pics,

It will work (but then, so would stuffing the fuel line in the intake port with no carb) but it will run poorly. Too many reasons to list why.
