Rear end/wheel Problems

Recommended Posts

I was adjusting my chain today, in hopes to go riding this coming weekend.

Once I got the chain where i wanted it I tightened the axle nut and now the wheel is pretty much locked on. I think the brakes may be locking onto the disk.

I changed nothing with the brakes, although the pads popped out when i took off the wheel to check some things out.

The wheel spins fine with the axle nut not tighten but once I tighten it down it basically locks on, what should I be doing about this?

thanks

Good for you. And if you don't pull a few bonehead moves when you're learning to work on stuff, you're not trying hard enough! ?

Usually, if something isn't moving and it should, or if it IS moving and it shouldn't, or something isn't coming apart or going together like it should, you're missing something. Don't force it, keep working to figure it out and you'll learn something every time!

Glad you figured it out.
