what to do first.

Recommended Posts

ok, recently a guy i ride with offered to buy my bike, so i took him up on the offer. i'm gonna use half the money that i got from him as a downpayment on an 09 kx250f. now here is my question, i've read that the motor is great and needs nothing really, and the pipe is about as good as it gets for the bike. so should i focus the rest of the money on getting the bike suspended for my weight and skill level or should i just use it for something else? i weight 190, and i'm around 6 ft so i know i'm not your usual 250f rider. would i need new springs for the forks and shocks and such?

It would depend on your speed and type of tracks. Weightwise you are on the limit for changing to stiffer ones.

It would proably work better with stiffer springs.

Yes, focus on suspension first, keeping bearings greased and oil serviced frequently... And a good terrain specific front tire...

suspension will be the key for you. Most of the time these bikes are racers out of the box they just need to be set up for their rider.
