2008 TE610 Side Stand Too Short!

I've already modified the bolt on my side stand so the stand doesn't automatically retract.

Now, I need a *longer* side stand. Sheesh, the bike is halfway to the ground when it's sitting on the stock side stand. Any ideas?

After mine cracked at the weld on top I brought mine to a local welder. had it fixed and added an inch and a half to it for $10. he even painted it for me... LOL..... I think its alil too tall now though, now Im alwys looking to park the stand downhill when I used to be trying to put it on the uphill . Id go with an somwheres between an inch and an inch n a quarter. Also, make sure that it's added below the hook on the stand that the spring atatches to unless you want to source a different spring like I had to do.

Yup, there short. My guess is the kick stand is for the SM610 and the TE got the same one. That's what I was going to do today, but didn't get around to it. Tomorrow, going to add 1.25" to the stock stand.
