rm85L?

Hi, I'm kinda stuck on what bike I should get. I'm 14 and I'm 5'4 or 5'5 and weigh about 140 or so. I currently have an '05 crf100f and am looking to get a bigger bike with more power. Would the rm85L be good for me? This would also be my first 2 stroke. I have been looking at a few different bikes: yz85 rm85L cr85 expert and kx100. The ktm is a little out of my price range. How are these bikes on the trails? Which is the fastest/ best on the track? I have found a couple of yz85, here's the links:

hey man, you sound about right for a 100 or the 85Ls or experts. I have a buddy who has an 07 kx100 for sale in albany. The thing is mint has maybe five hours on it he never rides and now that he got a street bike he needs money to put iton the road. let me know if your interested.

ktm, yamaha, husqvarna all still make 125's. I'd go with a 125 if i were you.

i agree with everybody above, if you can fit on a 125 then by all means get one. I'm personally 5' 8" and i couldnt touch the ground on my 125 on both sides and on my 250 its the same way. It takes some getting used to with a big bike compared to a mini but its deffinitely way more fun.

in some cases, the 250 is shorter or just as tall as a 125. should i look at 250's too?

would you guys recommend getting 2 seats and shaving one down so when i grow i can put the original seat back on?

alot of people have the seat shaved down even when they are taller...really if you are riding a 125 for mx or just play riding you should be standing up anyway most of the time. as far as seat hight a 125 should be the same as a 250. or a 250f or even a 450f. The 125 should be similar in max power to a 250f also.

which 125 would you recommend? it doesnt have to be new, actually i want a used one because it is so much cheaper. yamaha, ktm, and husqvarna are out because the seat is 1" taller than the cr, rm, and kx.

Get a 125. Ride as is, respect it and you will grow into it before you know it.

I would suggest a suzuki if you want a 125 with decent low and mid range, the ktm's scream on top but I like something that needs a little less clutch to get the meat of the power.

I just got an '03 kdx200 today. I got it with factory connection suspension (stiffer), fmf gnarly pipe, fmf turbine core 2 silencer, skid plate, 50/50 and dirt tires, and some extra plastics (I might have missed a few...). It was raining today so I couldn't ride it much. But overall I'm really happy with the bike.
