Can you id this bike?

I can pick this up cheap, needs a top end. Guy claims its a '99 380, I think its older, due to the front shocks. I haven't got the VIN yet. Figured you guys would know it in a snap, TIA!

i think its a 99 because i was going to buy a 99 250 mxc and it had the same forks

This is an EXC, correct? i thought they had the upside down forks in '99.

I know nothing of KTM's, had '85 125mx back in the day, though.

It is either a 98 or 99, according to the parts fiche I'm looking at, those years had conventional forks, in 2000 they went to USD. The graphics are the same as my 99 200.

look for the vin numbers on the frame 10 digit is usually the year..

98 or 99. anything older and the color was more butterscotch, then older than that was white.

hyd clutch in 99 so this one is not a 98

that doesn't look like a 250 pipe - looks too twisted. seems like a 380 to me...

was this one on CL? looks familiar.

ya, i reckon is a 99, more than a 250 definitely.

aren't they all on CL? yup its a 380. I have a feeling it has powervalve issues and not just need a top end. I have been so busy with work that I havent been able to check it out. its probably gone by now.

if its cheap, or still available id take it, a 380 99 and has hydrolic, put a bit of work in it and itl rip i bet!

Yep, definatly a 99 EXC, if its a 380 they had an extra seam in the pipe, but you cant see it from that side in the picture.
