Hey All, Im in the process of doin my top end re-build, and none of the lazy :p Ba$**#d companys that i have rung to get my cylinder replated will do stud removal (:foul: even though they say they do on there website:foul: ) and suggest that i take them out my self so got myself stud remover kit and proceeded to remove ones studs shearing of the 2 studs nearest the exhast port in the process:banghead: :banghead: has anyone got experience in removing broken studs and how did you do it?

:) My method was going to be drill it with a small drill bit and work my way up to about a 7.5m and then try and re tap them back to an 8mm again dumm idea or not?:banghead:

Vise Grips to remove the Stud. Then Tap & Die. Go to an Auto parts Store (or a Dealer $$$$$$$) & get a Stud of the same Thread, Red Loc-Tite (Let it Cure) then torque it down. I had to do this on my 85 KDX200.

All of the above plus heat and vibration and a good penetrating lube like PB Blaster, Kroil, or CorrosionX.
