Kill switch not working 07 CRF450r

Recommended Posts

Well at least it is not stuck in the off position.

The bike starts OK and runs OK but the kill switch does nothing.

I have had to use the hot start (that'll kill it when it is cooler) and dropping the clutch when in gear to stop it.

So should I just give it all a good clean up? buy a new switch? or leave it.

I guess what I am worried about is doing something to get it stuck in the off position.

Could it be a loose/cut wire..

Sorry for the lame questions I am just not sure how the switch works. I mean does it just interupt a complete circuit?, in which case cutting wires etc would be v bad. Or does it work some other way?

Well I shouldn't be so lazy.. Turns out a little clean up and some wiggling and it is all back to normal..?
