Recommended Posts

i just checked my valves and the exhaust were both at .008 and the left intake was at .004 and the right intake was zeroed out. So it that what is making it not start?

The exhausts are at the minimum but depending on weather they've been shimmed before will determine replacing them or not. The intakes are probably shot. Specially the right one but replace both. You can reshim them, but if they've been shimmed once already, replace them. New springs are only $5 so change them also. They usually wear out real fast once there zeroed out.

shim it, but it will only be a short time before it will zero out again (in one practice- 4 laps mine went from .05 to zero) its really simple to do a top end and since you will be putting all new valves, seats cut, possibly new guides, springs and hardware you might as well throw a new piston in there.. if you shop around you can do all of this for under 400 bucks...
