2001 DRZ400E lope

I'm a little perplexed about a friends bike.

2001 DRZ400E

K&N filter

White Bros. R4 slip on

other than that I'm not sure, the bike is new to him and he dosen't know.

Is there any condition that would cause the bike to lope or not idle evenly that is normal. It is also slow to return to idle

I have the pilot screw backed out 3 turns so I know I need to go to a smaller jet. Could that be the whole problem?

It is also scary fast (at least to me) seems like way more guts than my stock S model.

3 turns mean it needs a bigger pilot jet.not smaller.

the E model has the fcr carb,better cams and more compression than your S.

Thanks for the clarification on the jet size :p

Eddie, I'm going to break the carb. open tomorrow what should the correct size be for the other jets. Bike is at sea level and is also going to get an extended fuel screw.
