Best Cr125?

I'm looking to get a CR125, but I'm unsure on what year is the best in terms of chassis and engine power.

Anyone have any ideas of which would be the best year?

I hear the old steel chassis are better for handling?

What about the engines, are newer generations any different/better?

I love my '04. I always read on these forums that the 2004's were slow but honestly I haven't ridden (or raced) a faster 125 than my stock '04.

I read that Honda CR125's have been behind on power since 98, but have always been great in the handling dept.

If you want a CR125, get an 05-07 model.

I am also looking into buying a cr125 and was wondering the same question. A friend of mine mentioned to me that the 03's were very good, but don't quote me on that.

pick the cr you like and spend 200 on porting it will change things

Apart from a Blue CR , I would say get the latest one (06-07) since it would probably be in the best condition.
