What is a good mirror to get?

Recommended Posts

WOW!! $80!! They look like a quality piece though. Got any pics of them mounted?

No, not yet. I lost the digital camera while snowmobiling and haven't replaced it yet. I'll try to get a couple with the phone camera and post them tomorrow.

I use an emgo on one side and a ken sean on the other. one is flat and the other is a bit wide angle. It's nice having both ...... they look and install the same. I keep mine on separate mounts, not on the clutch or brake perth, so if I take out the mirrors it won't take out my controls.

Looks good! How do you like the WR? Does it feel as heavy as it is?

Bonestock,

I haven't really ridden the WR too much. It is the GF's bike. It is a little heavy for the power that it puts out. Suspension is a little soft in its stock form for for my weight (215 lb.). But other than that it is a good bike. If you weren't looking for the fastest dual sport then it would be a perfect ride. I havn't helped her take all the smog items off of it which I'm sure would free it up some. No problems with it in 1,000 miles.

I must say that the only other dual sport that I have ridden would be my KTM 690 enduro. So, it is kinda hard to go from one to the other. I'm always looking for the extra go and it isn't there.

Go to this link: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=357336 get the KTM folding mirrors in either the perch or bar mount. I prefer perch, and the 280mm stems are the best.

I have some Sean Ken, Dual Star, Acerbis, Stock Honda, etc all sitting on the bench once I tried these...

Henri is a class dude and will take care of you!!! Tell him Wattner sent ya!!!

+1 on the KTM folders - you can just flip them up and over on the move and

there's no dicking around. I've snapped two Ken Sean mirrors off at the

socket so far, they have a definite weak spot. Plus the KTM's are an actual

mirror that you can use as a mirror!

Oh, and You can find them on motostrano.com and search for "billet moto mirror" . They run about $60, but you get what you pay for. Just make sure to put locktite on all the screws.

http://www.motostrano.com/mirrors.html - its the simple red one for $59.95, but comes in black and aluminum finish too.
