Dynojet kit installed but something is not right ?

well I adjusted the fuel screw out 2.5 instead of 3.5 and repacked the upper of the carb, will see tomarrow if that helps. Turning the fuel screw in does what? leans? And what is the third jet in the bottom of the carb I think it reads 66.5 or something?

you didnt by chance mix up the postions of the main and primary jets did you?the primary jet is the other jet you see besides the pilot and main.

I dont think so...the main jet, the 142.5, is the the one that sticks out the most, right? and the other one, which i didnt touch is under that white plastic tab and lower in the carb.

ok,you should be good than.let me know how the test ride goes.the only thing i can think of is it pretty common for the clip to get installed on the wrong notch.4th notch from the top.

Thanks burned. I triple checked that clip and it is on the fourth clip from the top. One thing, when the slide is assembled the needle has tension on it and I can push the needle in about 1-2mm and the spring pushes it back out, does that sound right?

yes,thats normal.

once you get warmed up tommorow,set the fuel screw.

turn the fuel screw in till the idle misses.than slowly turn the screw back out till the idle is smooth.

Seems to run better with only 2.5 turns out. The hesitation is almost gone at low rpms, will do the fuel screw adjustment tonight and test tomarrow.

(clip)had to use the stock (big) spring...the one that came with the kit would'nt fit. It was alot skinnier that the stock and kept folding over when I tried to replace the cap on the carb.

What about that spring? I just started to install one in my bike and have noticed the same problem. ?
