Well she's not slow anymore!

So,

a while back I did the dyna jet 160 from a 152, and put in a foam uni filter... seemed to do a lot for my low end, but she was running Rich (even with a removed spark arrestor from the aft end of the muffler)...I am at nearly sea level and the temp was 79* this evening.....

Just for the heck of it, I pulled the plug from the fore end of the muffler and WOW!

She is over the top now...

A substantial boost to the whole thing 1-5 gears... and it sounds like a mad tiger on Steroids.

She flet hotter than normal, so I stuck my wife's roast thermometer down the oil dipstick right after I shut it off from a 30 mile hwy ride at 70 mph and it said 220*... I think that is reasonable,

But I am still going to double check with a better roast thermometer...

220 is about the right oil temp after a highway run.
