sorry to bring this up again but i am still concerned my header pipe is from an S model.

I just measured it and it is 38mm outside on the top straight area and 36mm outside on the bottom of the U bend.

Can someone with an E and someone with an S please measure at these to points and tell me what the outside diameter is?

a virtual pint awaits ?

I measure 41mm outside dia. at the straight part of the header on my "E" model.

My 01 S header measures just like yours, 38mm on straight portion, 36mm on the bottom of the S bend.

can anyone else with an E measure at those two points for me please?

I'd be interested in buying any secondhand E headers out there.

Bound to be quite a few lying around gathering dust.

Anyone have one in the UK?

I just measured the bend of the header and it mesures 41.2 mm od what other point did you want measured?

Ya, I measured 41mm at the straight part too. Why would someone put the S header on instead....? ?
