headgasket question??

i just put a new head gasket in my crf250r b/c i just did a valve job but i have to take my head off again, im just wondering if i can reuse the head gasket even though it has already been compressed? it hasnt run with the new gasket and has only been installed for about 3 days

I wouldn't risk it....how much is a gasket compared to ruining a day's ride, or possibly a bottom end?

As long as none of the sealant rings are bad then copper coat it and put it back on.

Shameful to say that I did re-use one as well.Granted,I didn't run the bike and pulled it off for some reason or another.....yeah it was Friday night and wanted to ride the weekend.Wouldn't recomend it ,but I've re-used one.Still on the bike going on about 40 hours with that top end.Not proud about it ....but I've done it.
