I think your clutch is the root of the trouble.
Even so.... I think your clutch is the root of the trouble.
You may be right, I just can't figure out why a clutch with around 30 hours on it and no obvious signs of anything wrong would act up so much.
Hey Gray, what brand or type of oil would you recommend for a 426 supermoto track bike?
Actually, Im sorry. I found, I think, exactly what you would recommend!! Amazing what one could find on this site if they're not lazy!!
Amsoil MCF 10-40, I think.

MCV 20w-50 in the hotter months where the heat is up above 90.
Gray how does Spectro full synthetic compare to Amsoil MCF? \
Sorry to hijack cowboy!
Hey Gray, I bought some Mobil 1 10-40 full synthetic automobile oil as I was in need of some oil and didn't like the Lucas semi-synthetic stuff. I forgot which oil you recommended and did recall Mobil 1 did well in the tests. Will this oil be ok for 2 quarts aka 6 rides worth of motoing or do you recommend not putting it in?
Mobil 1 Motorcycle oil did well, but that neither indicates nor contraindicates that the automotive version will hold up. I'd feel "fairly" confident in it, but I'd want to test it before I used it in the long term.
Thanks Gray. If you don't mind, who do you send it to and what's the process and cost for the recommended testing?
Blackstone Labs, $22.50.
