04 crf450r want start

I bought an 2004 crf450r about two years ago used. I rode it about two months ago seemed to be running fine although I have noticed a lost of compression. Now I have tried to start it after two months of setting and it will not start. It has little compression and backfires when try to start it. I think its time for a rebuild but not sure. Any help will be appreciated.

Maybe try draining the float and checking that the pilot jet isn't gummed up from old fuel?

Heck it could be many things in the engine , electrical sys, or carb.

Yep, check those valve clearances, check for spark and drain and add fresh fuel. Most likely one or even all will be the culprit.
