IMS tank mod issues?

So, I just put an IMS 3.1 tank on my 08 YZ450. Has anyone ever noticed a suspicious gas smell? I have no noticeable leaks from anywhere, but still smell a little gas when I come to a stop. Also, it fells like my carb is just a bit off in performance, would the tank have anything to do with that?

I just put an IMS on my '08. No problems at all. I used the '03-'05 petcock so I would't have to reverse the stock petcock, which I read somewhere you have to do with the stock petcock.
