I usually haul gas cans in milk crates, so I cut up some plywood to make stands when I get to the trails.

This is my subframe I built to race. Sense I crash alot, I built 3-4 of them and take them to the arenacross races with me.. The balsa and glue mix is super light..

My buddy built one that has 4 gates, and to open you kick a lever with your right foot to drop the gate. The guy that drops the gate has the advantage so we always put the slower rider on it. Not completely fair but it works and makes the track a lot more fun.

Any chance you got any pics of this??? I could prob fix it like that or just have someone on the ground running it, but if ZaneTrain (or anyone else for that matter) has any pics of theirs it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, John

Here's a stand I made a few years ago, it's the only pic I have of it so excuse the mess.

5 hp? Is there any baffling in the exhaust or is it just a noisy can?

he said 5mph to the top speed, not hp but that would be sweet if he did gain 5hp with that.

this isn't really for a dirt bike, but it's used to hold the ramps that load the dirt bike into the truck...

I keep borrowing my friend's truck to haul the bikes, so eventually he came up with a swift little contraption to hold his 8' ramps securely and out of the way so I can keep the tailgate up.

holds 2 ramps

The metal is used for holding a 2x4 in place when locking a door from the inside, and it's pretty strong.

and after seeing everybody's creativity, when it came to dirt bike stands, I finally found one of my own that worked quite well:

my stand is a junked, 15" subwoofer box (formerly used for car audio)

those 3/4" MDF boxes are big, heavy, and otherwise a colossal waste of space, so I'm glad I could use it for something...and the wedge base actually makes it pretty sturdy

Looks, umm PHOTOSHOPPED!!!!

Unless he somehow managed to fuse aluminum and wood together, like where it attaches to the top of the frame.

I very strongly agree with this. i believ it is photoshoped. fun to see tho

Used some 1/2" x 1/2" x 1/32" aluminum angle, bent it to contour the shroud and then flattened it with a hammer until the shroud just fit in it. Used some self-tappers (cut off the ends) and then flattened it the rest of the way with pair of pliers.

Cost: Under $5

Modification for Huskys: Priceless!!!!!

When I had an urge to re-visit my past occupation, as a young MC pipe welder/fabricator. My 510 husky desperately needed a 2 into1 to replace the standard dual exhaust pipes. So, before I started, I drew a picture of how I thought it should look like, this step helped greatly. The hedders are made from scrap chromoly U bends. Then I took a mild steel welding rod and bent it to replicate an imaginary center line of the mid pipe to make the header pipes go to the muffler, took the bent rod to a tubing bender friend. And then making a collector, flanges, mounts and adding a SupperTrapp muffler kit. 12 years of service, not a problem.

If I'm carrying them, they go in the backpack. Get too shaken up in the cooler.

That and you have to drink faster:worthy::banana:
