Uk DRZ 400S Carb Top... Restricted?

Searched but couldn't find the answer so...

How do you tell if a UK DRZ 400S (2006) has a restricted carb top?

From what I can make out the projection in the middle of the top is longer on restricted bikes.

In my particular case the projection is about the same length as the depth of the top so if you put the carb top on a flat surface, face down, then the projection does not quite hit the flat surface.

Also, having tried to lift the throttle slide with the carb assembled, it does not stop the slide clearing the venturi.

So...

Does this mean mine is NOT restricted or is there some sort of vacuum issue to do with the length of the projection?

Correct, restricked top is not standard fitment, it's a rare extra.

Whilst I'm here...

What's the function of the electrical device on the end of the throttle butterfly? Do I need it?

(I'm not talking about the solenoid at the bottom of the floatbowl)

That sounds like the throttle position sensor . It works in conjunction with the ignition to help your bike run better

i have bloke my pipe off with a bolt in the pipe it has made it so much faster one way to cheak this is pinch the pipe with mole grips and go down the road you will tell strait away
