Suzuki LTZ400 Gearing changes....15t-39t

Recommended Posts

my LTZ400 pulls to its v-max on stock gearing at 75mph on the road

and will cruise at 50 at 6k pretty happy

i believe the stock gearing is 14-40? can anyone confirm please?

so i am going to stick 15t on the front and a 39t on the rear and see how she likes that, hopefully it will up the cruising speed to about 55/60mph

anyone here running 15-39 on a LTZ400?

thankyou in advance for any guidance and words of wisdom

thanks for the reply

did you have to alter the Chain length at all?

what sort of cruising speed does that give you? :bonk:

please under stand i also went to a +4 swing arm ,so ya i added more chain.

i all so added more power , call it a requirement for that gearing.

it is possible to elongate the holes in the swing arm to give yourself more adjustment if it comes to a point were it all most go's , and remember the chain has to be checked for tension with you on the quad.

if you want to figure speed try this http://home.earthlink.net/~gellett/ltz400.htm
